Octodad is a must play game if you wanna alot of fun. Not only is the controll unique in itself. But the game has a good story behind it. This is the funniest student project I ever played and they improved so much on everything later for the game Octodad: Dadliest Catch. Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a game about destruction, deception, and fatherhood. The player controls Octodad, a dapper octopus masquerading as a human, as he goes about his life. Octodad's existence is a constant struggle, as he must master mundane tasks with his unwieldy boneless tentacles while simultaneously keeping his cephalopodan. Most games design their controls to be easy and accessible. Octodad: Dadliest Catch takes a different approach. Using a combination of sticks and buttons, it creates an awkward, stomach-churning feeling of having too many limbs that you can't directly control. Traversing the simplest of rooms and completing simple tasks like opening a cupboard become brain-achingly tricky. Most games design their controls to be easy and accessible. Description
Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a game about destruction, deception, and fatherhood. The player controls Octodad, a dapper octopus masquerading as a human, as he goes about his life. Octodad's existence is a constant struggle, as he must master mundane tasks with his unwieldy boneless tentacles while simultaneously keeping his cephalopodan nature a secret from his human family.
History
In Octo-ber 2010, a group of university students released the original Octodad into the world. Despite everyone being convinced that the game was about a normal human dad, the game was a cult hit, gained critical acclaim, and was an Independent Games Festival Student Finalist in 2011. Octodad received enough attention that the team decided to run a Kickstarter, form the game studio Young Horses, and create a bigger, better, more polished game about Octodad. Two and a half years after beginning production, Octodad: Dadliest Catch is ready to flop awkwardly into your arms.
Features
- Octodad's wacky physics create hilarious moments that are different every time. Be surprised by the randomness of Octodad's flailing or express your own sense of humor by making Octodad do silly things.

- ' Watching Octodad: Dadliest Catch being played at E3 on a PlayStation 4, you notice one thing that separates it from virtually every other title on the show floor. Rather than seeing stoic, expressionless faces on its players, you see laughter and ear–to–ear smiles.'
- Michael McWhertor, Polygon - 'The game is both fun and funny, but that only gets you halfway. Whether it's imposter syndrome, social anxiety, hiding something, or just feeling like sometimes you give something your best and it's not enough… Octodad taps into a deep primal fear of being something that's 'other' and trying to hide it. When you combine innovative controls, pleasant aesthetics, with a universal sense of fear you end up with a great game. I can't wait to play the whole thing.'
- Ben Kuchera, Penny Arcade Report - '..come PAX time, a stroll through the Indie Megabooth has the power not just to restore faith in the creative direction of the industry but also to find the gems that allow us to become fanboys again. This year, that game for me was Octodad: Dadliest Catch..'
